A block is a component within your website. We recreate the blocks from your site in Webflow. Examples of custom blocks include testimonial strips, headers, footers, list of articles, contact form, pricing page or slideshow. The complexity of the migration is affected by the number of custom blocks that need to be created.

A page layout represents how elements are arranged on a page. We use the term 'layout' in two ways, (1) the layout of standard pages and (2) the layout of CMS collection pages.

A page layout is created from blocks. The average page has 4 to 5 blocks, a longer page, such as a homepage may have up to 10 blocks. A project with more blocks per page layout will tend to cost more.

A Collection Page is a special layout that is used when displaying a  collection item. Items of the same collection use the same Collection Page. We count a Collection Page as a single page layout. A layout for a recipe collection item would be counted as one page layout, a layout for a blog-post collection item would be counted as a second page layout.

In the Webflow content management system (CMS) a collection is analogous to a custom content type in Wordpress. A Webflow collection is the best way to work with a collection of things. Here are some examples of ways to use a Webflow collection - listings, reviews, songs, recipes, authors, technical articles, events, blog posts, case studies. If your Wordpress site uses custom content types or fields, we can recreate these as collections in Webflow. Each collection will require custom layout work, as a result, the number of fields and collections will affect the cost of the migration.

A simple collection has 15 or less fields and no more than 2 reference fields (a reference field gets values from another collection, for example a listing collection may get authors from an author collection). A complex collection is any collection that doesn't fit the definition of simple.

Some examples of collections include: recipes, blog posts, real estate listings, team member profiles, events, services, case studies, videos, songs, press releases and reviews. In addition to these, some people create collections to manage categories, tags and authors.

We get it, plugins are the way you get things done in the Wordpress world. In general, you need plugins to implement and manage search engine optimization (SEO), page speed improvements, site backups etc.. On the other hand, Webflow offers SEO, fast page speeds and site backups out the box. If you need even more, Webflow provides an application programming interface (API) and integrates with automation platforms like Zapier, IFTT and n8n.

Hover effects on buttons and images that affect size, scale and color are considered to be basic. There are some ready-made animations in webflow such as bounce,fade, slide, flip, grow, jiggle on mouse over or tap, these are also considered basic.

Interactions that require custom animation. These are only available in our higher tier package and are assessed at the beginning of the project. Lots of advanced interactions will require a custom costing for the migration.

During our project, we can provide royalty free photos, videos, illustrations, icons and other stock art for your project.

All our projects include at least a 1 month support period which begins on our first kickoff day. Once the migration is complete, you can use what is left under the support period to get help settling in with your new Webflow site.

A revision is a request for a change to the site. During the support period, you are entitled to unlimited revisions. Simple revisions (e.g. changing the color, size or location of an element) can typically be completed within 1 business day.

Not a lot. One we're aware of is the fact that Webflow has a few limitations on the way you organize your URL paths. Some blogs organize their posts by year and month. This approach is not possible with Webflow at the moment (or will require some tricks and sleight of hand). If this way of organizing your content is a deal-breaker then we're not the right service for you.

Having used Elementor in the past, we can confidently say that you'll love Webflow's best of class visual layout approach. Switching from Gutenberg, Divi or Elementor will be a breeze.

Webflow has a built in form system. It supports form notifications and gives you the ability to create custom forms that integrate with your favorite systems. You can also embed forms from third-party systems. If you need something more complex talk to us and we can make recommendations.
